Rudolf Agstner

BIAAS funded a $4,000 grant to Rudolph Agstner to cover the costs of the design and printing of his book Austria (Hungary) and its consulates in the United States of America since 1820. The book covered the history of all 50 consulates in the United States and was published in January 2012 by Lit Verlag.

Rudolf Agstner has worked as a diplomat for Austria since 1977, serving as the Austrian representative to the United Nations and as the ambassador to Ethiopia. Agstner has written 15 books and numerous articles on the history of the Austrian Foreign Ministry and also has served as a professor at the University of Innsbruck.
