Pablo Larios & John McCusker

BIAAS award a grant of $4,000 in order to produce and print a dual language journal about translation. The project sough to publish a second issue of the journal If A Then B: Notes on Translations to be focused on Concrete poetry of the 1950’s and 1960’s in Vienna and the United States. The issue planned to be a 120 page journal with six essays, four English translations of Austrian poems, and four German translations of American poems. The issue was published in November of 2011 with 1,000 copies being made.


Pablo Larios completed his undergraduate at Brown University and after receiving a Fulbright Grant in 2011, has worked as a freelance writer in Berlin.

John McCusker received his BA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2003. He has worked as a graphic designer operating his own firm Vaguely Contemporary.
