Fatima Naqvi

BIAAS granted $3,800 to Fatima Naqvi in order to fund the publication of a book on author Thomas Bernhard entitled How We Learn Where We Live. The grant covers the copyright fees, which allows for the inclusion of 21 images which were critical to the book’s main argument. The book was published in December 2015 by Northwestern University Press.

Fatima Naqvi is a professor at of German Language and Literatures at Rutgers University and received her Ph.D. from Harvard University. She has served as a Fulbright Guest Professor at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz and has published numerous monographs and scholarly articles.
