Deutsches Haus at New York University

BIAAS granted $3,750 to Noah Isenberg in order to fund a roundtable discussion at Deutsches Haus honoring Austrian-American filmmaker Edgar Ulmer. The grant funded the travel and accommodations for the panelists. The series was to include a number of film screenings during the week before and after the discussion; however, Hurricane Sandy resulted in the cancellation of much of the plan events. Due to this unforeseen problem, many of the screenings and discussions were held two months later.

Noah Isenberg acquired his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in German Studies. He has been an associate professor at the New School for Social Research while also serving as editor at Film Quarterly.
