Jorun Johns

BIAAS awarded $3,996 to Jorun Johns in order to fund an English translation of a biography of composer and pianist Hermann Leopoldi. The majority of the grant covered text formatting and computer editing along with the translation of the text itself. The project culminated in the publication of the book, Herman Leopoldi: The life of Viennese Piano Humorist, along with a CD of his music in 2012 by Ariadne Press.

Jorun Johns received his Ph.D. from the University of Vienna and has served as an editor of Ariadne Press.
