Jonathan Ward Singerton

BIAAS funded a grant for $3,500 to Jonathan Ward Singerton in order study relationships between the Hapsburg Empire and the United States from 1763 to 1815. The grant funded research trips to Vienna, Budapest, London, Paris, Zurich, Milan, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. The grant aided in the completion of Singerton’s dissertation and relieved new diplomatic, economic, and socio‑political connections between the two countries.

Jonathan Ward Singerton is Ph.D. candidate in History at the University of Edinburgh and has served as a peer reviewer for the postgraduate history journal, Retrospectives.
