Austrian Cultural Forum New York

BIAAS funded a grant of $40,000 to the Austrian Cultural Forum New York for six lectures and/or film series to be presented over the course of the 2008 fiscal year. The series were held throughout the country at various universities, such as Stanford and the University of Chicago, as well as at the Austrian Cultural Forum in New York and Washington D.C. The series covered topics from the nature of the death penalty to the value of Austrian literature and from the breakup of the Habsburg Monarchy to film discussions of the Anschluss.
