Ron Hassner

BIAAS issued a grant for $4,000 to Ron Hassner in order to publish an English translation of the play Der Herr Karl. The project included not only the translation of the work but accompanying notes and essay on the play. The grant funded the purchasing of the rights of the text and images of the play, which allowed the project to move forward and be published in 2016 by Ariadne Press.

Ron Hassner received his Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University. He has served as a professor at the University of California Berkeley since 2004 and has written numerous works on religion and conflict.
