Austrian Cultural Forum New York

BIAAS granted $13,000 to the Austrian Cultural Forum for two lecture series and one ceremony to be held both in New York and various locations around the United States. The first lecture looked at the nature of evil through the examination of an Austrian serial killer and the second lecture was a reading series on Austrian history and fiction. The third part of the grant was for the translation prize ceremony which BIAAS had funded in the previous year as well.

Austrian Cultural Forum New York is the main cultural embassy of the Republic of Austria in New York and the United States. The Forum’s mission is to showcase Austrian art, music, film, theater, and literature to an American audience.
