Anette Baldauf

BIAAS funded a $16,000 grant to Anette Baldauf in order to complete a publishing and translation project of Victor Gruen unpublished autobiography. The majority of the grant covered the cost of editing the autobiography into a workable manuscript and then translating it to English from German. The 400 page manuscript entitled Shopping Town. Memoirs of a Town Planner was completed 2012 with the German version being published by Böhlau in 2014; however the English version has yet to be published.

Anette Baldauf received a doctorate in educational studies from the University of Vienna and a Ph.D. in Sociology from The New School for Social Research. She has served as an adjunct lecturer at the New School for eleven years and as a professor of Epistemology and Methodology at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
