During the 2018 Botstiber Lecture, Dr. Leon Botstein discussed Hugo Botstiber’s contributions to early 20th century Viennese music culture. Hugo Botstiber was the father of BIAAS founder, Dietrich W. Botstiber, did not share his father’s passion for music, and he left Austria in 1938 to pursue his own interests in engineering and manufacturing.
