Christopher Long
Josef Frank: Complete Writings, Volume 4 includes the later theoretical writings of the important Austro-Swedish architect and designer Josef Frank (1885–1967), covering the period from 1938 to the early 1950s. In addition to Frank’s essays, Volume 4 will also feature several interpretive essays concerning his work of this period, as well as a long, previously unknown portrait of Frank that appeared in an Austrian exile newspaper in New York during his stay there in the 1940s.
Christopher Long is Martin S. Kermacy Professor in the School of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin. He is one of the co-editors, along with Tano Bojankin, Hermann Czech, Caterina Cardemone, and Claudia Mazanek, of the projected seven-volume Josef Frank: Complete Writings.
