In this interview, a Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American Studies board member discusses key findings from our new, binational public-opinion survey: “Global Politics, Technology and Social Media Combine to Erode Trust and Interest.” Conducted in February–April 2025 by Market Institute (Linz) and prepared with the University of Salzburg, this is the first comprehensive study since the 1980s to measure how Austrians and Americans view each other today.
